Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2014 named the virgin-oak-matured Glenmorangie Ealanta as the best whisky in the world.
Murray described the limited edition single malt as “borderline perfection” with “one of the longest finishes of any Scotch this year”.
Glenmorangie Ealanta is the fourth annual release in its Private Edition range.
Scots Gaelic for 'skilled and ingenious', Ealanta is 19 years old, fully matured in virgin American white oak casks with a provenance that stretches all the way to the mountains of Missouri and the Mark Twain National Forest.
