Saint-James 1885 Des "Plantations" Rhum
Lot number: 076-0771
This lot failed to meet its reserve.
The Saint James Rhumerie on the French owned Caribbean island of Martinique was one of the very first plantations to produce "declared" vintage rums, and this bottle is one of those vintages!
Made from sugar cane havested in 1885! Nobody knows for certain how old the precious liquid inside is, but it was bottled prior to the huge volcanic eruption of Mont Pelée in 1902. This catastrophic event devastated the town of Saint Pierre, and damaged the Saint James estate. It's nothing short a miracle that any of these bottles survived.
No stated ABV or bottle size, but this is approximately the size of a full size bottle.
Please note general condition, and the plastic container it comes with is damaged.
Please examine all images of the lot, any packaging and labels carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid.
