Duncan and John McCallum were two brothers from Edinburgh who started their business in 1807 as whisky blenders and inn-keepers. It joined Distillers Company in 1937, which then led to the Cragganmore Distillery being licenced to the McCallum's.
A nice little distinction is that the McCallum's labeled their product 'Scots Whisky' rather than 'Scotch Whisky'.
