Lot number: 390685
Winning bid: £1,000
Kinclaith is one of the rarest malts, due to the very short life of the distillery. It was founded in 1957 and closed only 18 years later in 1975. As Kinclaith was built to supply the single malt for the famous blend Long John, there was never any official release of Kinclaith. Although, we can thank the independent bottlers like Cadenhead's for providing the opportunity to taste this very scarce whisky.
Cadenhead's, from the era of their brown dumpy bottle before they changed in the early nineties.
Distilled: March 1965
Bottled: December 1989
Age: 24 years old
51.4%ABV / 75cl
Please note the fill level is at the base of the neck.
