Rebel Yell 6 Year Old 4/5 Quart

A rare bottle of Rebel Yell Bourbon circa 1960's, from the Stitzel-Weller era. Contrary to the common belief that the brand is reference to an aggressive, confederate war cry, the "Rebel Yell" is actually a high pitched Coyote like sound that was howled by confederate soldiers during conflict. It is thought be a wistful and haunting noise. This is reflected in the whiskey itself as it is regarded as one of the more mild and delicate bourbon brands.

In 1992 United Distillers made the decision to move production of Rebel Yell to Bernheim and subsequently close the Stitzel-Weller distillery. This bottle represents an opportunity to get your hands on the original product before it became mass produced for the global market.
