Founded in 1895, Gordon & MacPhail have been bottling single malt whiskies for 120 years and by the 1950s they held the largest range of bottled malt whiskies in the world. Now they are distillers themselves after buying Benromach in 1993.

This was distilled at the Linkwood distillery all the way back in 1939, the year that Gone With The Wind was made, Superman first appeared as a comic strip, the Spanish Civil War ended and the Second World War began...
