Contained within this leather Purdey and Sons Gun Case, is a surfeit of treasures any self-respecting Ardbeg collector will covet.
To facilitate a somewhat opulent tasting, Ardbeg have included a plethora of hand-crafted adornments. Two leather-stitched books – the 'Ardbeg Double Barrel Story' and the 'Ardbeg Sampling Register' are provided, with an Omas, oak and sterling silver fountain pen.
One of Scotland's most prestigious silversmiths, 'Hamilton & Inches', has contributed with eight, sterling silver dramming goblets.
Even a pair of handling gloves are thoughtfully included, lest unwanted smudgery ensue. If, God forbid, any such blemishes were to occur, leather cleaning and silver polishing kits are discretely enclosed.
The two mouth-blown bottles of 1974 single cask Ardbegs almost seem like trivial inclusions. The truth is, the whiskies are the real treasure here, as well they should be. Drawn from two of Ardbeg's finest casks, #3160 and #3528, these are a fitting centerpiece to an exquisite piece of collaborative craftsmanship.
Only 250 of these wonderful cases were created. Here is a rare chance to get one for yourself.
