Described by Gordon & Macphail as a "greatly aged whisky", this Macallan has a rich mahogany hue from its long ageing in sherry hogsheads. Quite incredible when you think what this whisky has slept through in just over 68 years of maturation; the end of World War II, the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, 14 Prime Ministers, the invention of the internet (and birth of your favourite whisky auction site)... The list goes on!
