Sold in America during prohibition for medical purposes, due to the Surgeon General refusing to believe it could be drunk for pleasure, Laphroaig was awarded a Royal Warrant by Prince Charles in 1994. The biggest selling single malt from Islay, Laphroaig is one of the last distilleries using its own floor maltings.
This rarely seen expression was specially bottled to celebrated the retiral of Iain Henderson, distillery manager from 1989 to 2002, and signed by the man himself.
