The 77th Auction

It's that time again! August has flown by in the blink of an eye, and now we're live with the 77th auction. And what an auction it is, with a monstrous mountain of liquid magic to mull over.

We'd like to kick off proceedings this month by inviting you all to have a look at this bottle of Arran from North Star Spirits. North Star have very kindly donated this bottle to one of our customers who is running in the New York Marathon for MacMillan Cancer Support, and all proceeds raised from the sale of the bottle will also be donated to the charity.

We're also very excited to be able to offer the opportunity to bid on the complete set of Karuizawa releases from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. It's rare to see any of these bottles in individually, let alone as a complete set, and we'll all be extremely jealous of whoever bags these beauties.

Speaking of rare bottles, the old adage about hen's teeth just isn't enough to accurately convey the scarcity of this bottle of Macallan from Samaroli! Bottled from stocks belonging R.W Duthie of Aberdeen (the former owner of Cadenhead's), this magical Macallan is sure to get your mouth watering. Just imagine comparing it with this Gordon & MacPhail Macallan distilled in 1938! That's a tasting we'd like an invite to.

If you're in the market for an alternative sherried Speysider to Macallan, then check out this wonderful bottle of Strathisla that was distilled in 1937 , also bottled by G&M, this time as part of their highly collectable Connoisseurs Choice range.

Highland Park is a distillery that has been busy recently, churning out new expressions and limited editions, as well as revamping the look of their core range. While we all very intrigued by that, we're even more intrigued by this single cask bottle for U.S spirits specialist Binny's. This rare bottle has received some glowing reviews, and we just know it's going taste fantastic!

Anyway, we've waffled on for too long already, so we'll leave you to explore all the treats for yourselves.
