Karuizawa Noh 1991 19 Year Old Single Cask #3206 20cl
Lot number: 078-0917
Winning bid: £420
Karuizawa distillery officially closed its doors in 2011, although it hadn't been producing whisky since 2000. Since then all the stocks have been bought by Number One Drinks Company who release them every so often.
These smaller Noh bottlings of Karuizawa were released at the Whisky Fair in 2011. We're told that the reason for the smaller bottles was not due to thirsty angels leaving only a little in the cask, but because Whisky Magazine bottled the majority of the cask in 70cl bottles to support Oxfam.
