With its distinctive square bottle, its label angled precisely at 24° and the iconic Striding Man, Johnnie Walker is the world's best selling Scotch whisky retailing more than 20 million cases a year. It was first created in Kilmarnock in 1865 and is now available in almost every country in the world with the establishment of significant 'Houses' across Asia. Between 1906 & 1909 John Walker's grandsons introduced the colour names which the bottles still bear to this day with the Blue Label - introduced in 1992 - being the rarest.
One of the most iconic whiskies in the world; Black Label.
The story of this whisky begins with Elizabeth Cumming who owned and operated Cardhu Distillery and under whose leadership the distillery flourished. She ultimately sold the distillery to the walker family in 1893 and ever since, single malt from Cardhu has been at the heart of many beloved blends from Johnnie Walker. And so it is with Jane Walker.
The story continues today, let by mater blender Emma Walker, who built this rich and flavourful whisky.
