A very warm new year's welcome from us here in chilly Glasgow. We’re all hoping you’ve blown away the January blues and begun the new year with a fresh spirit. This month there’s a plethora of malt, malt and more malt that may tickle the fancy or warm the cockles of collectors, drinkers and anyone in between.

Let’s start the year with some grand slammers shall we? Not a stranger, but never to be missed is the Bowmore 1965 52 year old. Ageing for over half a century in Oloroso sherry casks, this deep amberous liquid is a fine Islay pedigree for sure. A rare beast from The Macallan, is the Easter Elchies 1985 release. Not very often we see one of these bad boys.

We have a superb selection of mighty rare Taliskers so pick from your choice whether it’s to be a 1951 Connoisseurs Choice, a 1937 Berry Bros & Rudd, or a Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries edition. There’s plenty more too!

Two very different bottles from the same distillery, each with their own appealing charm. First, the Macallan 1957. This fine charmer from the middle of the last century was bottled in honour of the 25th Anniversary of the foundation of Rinaldi Brothers Inc, Bologna. Certification letter is also included! Equally rare yet in stark contrast is the Macallan 30 year old Forgotten Gems. Hand bottled in tiny batches by Atom Labs this is one of only two bottles released and comes from the last drops of their rare stocks. Yes we think two is a pretty small batch also.

Continuing on the rare theme we have a gem of a Bowmore Bicentenary 98.8° Proof. This sherry matured spirit was bottled for the Bicentenary of the distillery but don’t let its old looks put you off boys and girls, it scores very highly among the aficionados out there.

Do you like games? Do you like whisky? Oh boy, you’re in for a treat. We have some truly unique arcade machine style bottles celebrating 30 years (I know, I feel old now too) since celebrated Japanese game developer SNK released the legendary NeoGeo console. Bottled for Whiskyfest Takao 2020 the labels feature characters from the iconic NeoGeo title Fatal Fury!
