Winning bid: £6,000

With its distinctive square bottle, its label angled precisely at 24° and the iconic Striding Man, Johnnie Walker is the world's best selling Scotch whisky retailing more than 20 million cases a year. It was first created in Kilmarnock in 1865 and is now available in almost every country in the world with the establishment of significant 'Houses' across Asia. Between 1906 & 1909 John Walker's grandsons introduced the colour names which the bottles still bear to this day with the Blue Label - introduced in 1992 - being the rarest.

This special edition was created to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of John Walker in 2005. This is a blend of whiskies aged from 45 to 75 years. Presented in a lockable wooden case and comes with a replica of Alexander Walker's recipe book, detailing the ingredients of some of Johnnie Walker's most famous blends, and an ornate quill.
