Glasgow Distillery 2016 Single Cask #51 for Scottish Fire & Rescue Family Support Trust Centenary BOTTLE #1
Lot number: 148-02687
Winning bid: £380
Named after the company that operated out of Dundashill distillery in the early 1800s, the Glasgow Distillery Company was set up by Liam Hughes, Mike Hayward and Ian McDougall in 2013 and began producing Makar Gin in the early stages. Having laid down the first casks in March 2015, the Glasgow Distillery Co., hoping to welcome the new era of distilling in Glasgow, were able to proudly release their debut single malt in 2018 - the 1770. They are already distilling both peated and unpeated malt and experimenting with different cask types.
A single cask bottling for the centenary of the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service family support trust. The charity was formed a century ago in 1923, and provides support to all uniformed and non-uniformed employees and retirees of the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service.
This cask was gifted to the charity by a group of charitable donors, with a view to fundraising and celebrating their centenary year. All proceeds are being returned to the Family Support Trust for the Charity's ongoing work.
