When A. H Hirsch created the first Hirsch bourbon whisky, the standard for American Whiskey was set. This is a distiller that is known for bravely venturing beyond the traditional limits and continuing to strive for adventure and innovation. Adolph H. Hirsch, an investment banker in Pennsylvania was a great believer in philanthropy and chose to invest in the “Schaefferstown Distillery’ as it was originally known as.
By having 400 barrels commissioned, he unknowingly both ensured the survival and created the legacy of what would come to be known as ‘A. H Hirsch’ or ‘Hirsch’. The legacy of A. H Hirsch prevails today and the elusive and mysterious quality to A.H Hirsch is largely due to the scarce amounts of the bottles still found in circulation, with the final bottling taking place in 2003,
This rare and incredibly well-received bourbon is a true American classic and one of the most sought after bourbons in the world.
The gold foil on the seal of this bottle denotes that this is the second release.
