Lot number: 161-07035

Winning bid: £3,600

Burnobennie distillery has celebrated the inauguration of its distillery by collaborating with world-famous Scottish figurative artist Peter Howson to create The World is on Fire Series. This series will feature old & rare single-cask whiskies which will be adorned with distinctive artwork by Peter Howson on their labels, each highlighting the devastation that humans have been causing the planet. Both Burnobennie and Peter Howson have decided to collaborate in order to help River Dee Trust’s #OneMillionTrees project.

Burnobennie’s second release in ‘The World Is On Fire’ series. A perfectly aged Macallan which was distilled in 1990. Matured for a further 33 years in Oloroso casks, before being selected and bottled in 2023 for the #OneMillionTrees project. With a final yield of only 200 bottles, and only 150 of which come with the much sought after limited Peter Howson print.
