Hjarta is the ancient Norse word for "heart". Orkney was under Nordic rule until 1468 when it was gifted to Scotland.
The whisky has been created by Max MacFarlane, Whisky Maker, and is bottled at 58.1% ABV This 12 year old is one of 3924 bottles.
Paired with Highland Park New Make Spirit. Straight off the stills from Highland Park, completely unaged and bottled at 50%. One 35cl bottle. Distilled February 2010.
