Bruichladdich Exclusively For Jon Bertelsen 2001
Lot number: 360615
Winning bid: £50
This bottling was the result of a battle between Jon Bertelsen, the importer of Bruichladdich to Norway, and the Vinmonopolet, the Norwegian state-monoploy of off sales.
After they refused to allow Bruichladdich's multi-vintage Mood-malts (Rocks, Waves or Peat) onto their list Jon negotiated a special release as a suitable replacement to the Bruichladdich 12 year old.
This release turned out to be the first ever 'pure' release of Bruichladdich since it's revival in 2001.
Distilled: 2001
Cask Type: Bourbon
