Scapa 12 Year Old & Scapa 16 Year Old
Lot number: 362187
Winning bid: £80
We got some whisky from Orkney's other distillery. So here is some info on the two bottles of Scapa
This is a bottling that many fans of this underrated distillery still have a soft spot for - the unpretentious old-style Scapa 12 year old: an easygoing dram, delightfully honeyed and malty. Replaced by the short-lived, unloved 14 year old shortly before owners Allied sold up to Pernod Ricard.
Age: 12 years old
40%ABV / 1L
There are only 2 expressions which are regularly released by the distillery, this 16 year old and an older 25 year old. Available since replacing the 14 year old in 2008, this is a real gem from Orkney.
Age: 16 years old
40% ABV / 70cl
