Karuizawa 1997 16 Year Old Cask #7815 for Isetan

Karuizawa distillery officially closed its doors in 2011, although it hadn't been producing whisky since 2000. Since then all the stocks have been bought by Number One Drinks Company who release them every so often.

This particular bottling is the last cask from the 1997 vintage and was selected for Japanese liquor store, Isetan. For any fans of the excellent Japanese whisky blog, Nonjatta, you may have read Stefan's write up on this bottling and how it nearly became a Nonjatta release!
